AIBUILD Participates in the Nexus 2024 Alumni Networking Event

We are thrilled to share that AIBUILD was invited to participate in the Nexus 2024 Alumni Networking Event, hosted by the City of Melbourne and Acase. This prestigious event brought together a diverse group of alumni, business leaders, and entrepreneurs to connect, share ideas, and celebrate growth and innovation.

Sharing Our Journey

During the event, our COO, JoJo, represented AIBUILD as a panelist in a discussion centered on growing a ‘born-global’ startup venture and embracing globalization from day one. JoJo shared AIBUILD’s incredible journey from a student-founded startup to a thriving business over the past seven years, highlighting key strategies for building an internationally-minded company.

We are grateful to Terry Wu from the City of Melbourne for coordinating this opportunity and to Prof. Frank Fu, President of the Nexus Program, for his leadership in making the event such a success. Their support enabled us to share AIBUILD’s vision and connect with a dynamic and engaged audience.

The audience expressed great interest in our current projects and future vision, asking thought-provoking questions and providing invaluable feedback. Their encouragement reminded us of the power of storytelling and the importance of collaboration in driving meaningful progress.

A Platform for Growth and Connection

The Nexus Alumni Event offered a unique opportunity to connect with a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for growth and innovation. The event’s theme—fostering connections and inspiring success—resonated deeply with us, and we were proud to contribute to the conversation about entrepreneurship, perseverance, and innovation.

t was also a privilege to meet and exchange ideas with incredible leaders such as:

  • Bonnie Shek, ANZ Director, Hong Kong Trade Development Council
  • Dr. Raphael Maria Mayer, Co-Founder and CTO, Virtetic
  • Mary Wang, Director, RSM

A special thank you to Bill Lang, Chairman of Small Business Australia, for moderating the panel discussion with such energy and thoughtfulness. The conversations reinforced the importance of entrepreneurship, perseverance, and the transformative power of innovation.

Looking Ahead

We are deeply thankful to the City of Melbourne, Acase, and the Nexus team for organizing such a meaningful event. Events like these inspire us to push boundaries, continue innovating, and support the next generation of entrepreneurs.

At AIBUILD, we firmly believe that every journey begins with a single step, and through persistence and determination, success is achievable. As we continue to grow, we are more motivated than ever to contribute to the future of business and innovation.

To all alumni and participants, thank you for your support and enthusiasm. Together, we are shaping a brighter and more innovative future.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue on this exciting journey!
